As we demonstrated in our monthly mood board we love to keep our main pieces of outdoor furniture upholstered in a gorgeous neutral. This allows us to change up our outdoor textiles with the seasons or change our look on a whim with ease. Today we are sharing a few of our favorite places to look for bold modern pattern and color to liven up your outdoor space.
First up we have Link Outdoor fabrics. Link offers fabrics in large and small patterns, stripes, solids, textures and a great line of outdoor sheers. The fabrics are offered in bold modern colors and patterns. All the fabric collections are designed by Doug and Gene Meyer and are all woven in 100% solution dyed acrylic. These will stand the test of time outdoors, in high traffic areas and hold up against children and pets.
Next up we have Alaxi Fabrics from Silver State Textiles. They have a few collections we love that will transport you to another place. If you are looking for something that takes you away to Asia or India then the Indi Pop collection is just for you. This collection offers rich bright colors and more exotic patterns inspired by the motifs of ancient India.
The next collection we love is the Alaxi On the Edge collection. This collection offers bold, graphic design. The designers of this collection have taken more traditional patterns like polka dots and houndstooth and breathed new, modern life into them. All fabrics in this collection are made from 100% Sunbrella Acrylic yarns and are offered in rich, saturated colors that we just love!
Lastly, from Silver State Fabrics is the Riviera Collection. If bright, bold, and modern is not what you have in mind then you may want to create a relaxing subdued space with these fabrics that will transport you to the Mediterranean Riviera.
When restyling your outdoor space don’t be afraid to mix and match color, texture, and pattern. Cover your outdoor sofa with bright bold, patterned pillows, use a bold pattern or color on the wall. Just wrap a canvas with fabric and finish it with decorative trim or nail heads to add some drama to the walls. If a more subdued look is what you are going for then stick to a more monochromatic look. You can still infuse color; just use softer lighter colors that are not so bright. And any outdoor space can benefit from the addition of a neutral colored sheer drapery treatment. It softens the space, adds a touch of elegance, and when needed can be pulled shut to block the sun or add some privacy to your space.
