If you are anything like me then you have an unnatural obsession with textiles. It is my love of textiles that got me interested in the process of making textiles and wanting to learn to weave my own. That then led to the want to learn how to use knotted ropes to create wonderful macramé creations. That want has come back with a new intensity now that I am seeing macramé everywhere lately. It is definitely an on trend item at the moment and it can be used in so many ways. I am sure you are all familiar with the macramé hanging planters we see all over and all the DIY instructions on Pinterest, but there is so much more that can be done. Below we are sharing some of our favorite uses of macramé.
Furniture – This is by far one of the most eye-catching ways to use macramé by creating one of a kind furniture pieces that no one can resist curling up in and relaxing for an afternoon.

Home Accessories/Hanging Planters – Of course we still love a good macramé hanging planter, but there are more accessories that can be made. If you are wanting to try your hand at some DIY macramé then a smaller accessory item or hanging planter is a great choice for your first attempt. Once you master that you will be on to knotting entire chairs before you know it!
