Today we are taking our textiles to a new spooky level and featuring 2 new textile collections with a Halloween theme to them. These textiles will be great additions to your space to help decorate for the holidays and work well for any Halloween crafts you may have in mind. So let’s not waste any time and get right to it.
The first collection we love is Something Wicked This Way Comes by Heather Dutton for Modern Yardage. In my own desire to take my surface pattern design to the next level I have begun following many other designers whose work I think is fantastic and Heather Dutton of Hang Tight Studio is one of those people. I first saw this collection being announced in one of her Instagram posts. Heather is a surface designer with a passion for pattern and fabric and she has done an excellent job with this collection. We love this collection for its modern feel. Sometimes holiday themed fabrics can tend to get too cheesy, but this collection is a fresh modern take on Halloween textiles. We love the mix of obviously Halloween themed prints along with prints like Gossamer which fits perfectly in this collection, but really could still have many other uses for the fall season and beyond.
If we had to pick a favorite though it would have to be Wicked. Our love of pumpkins wins out and this is a great Jack-o-lantern pattern. I just may be getting some of this for my own projects.
The next collection we would like to feature is Spooktacular Too by Maude Asbury.
We found these on Hawthorne Threads and instantly fell in love with them. These are great Halloween themed fabrics that can be used to add some spooky elements to your home. We especially love Caught in a Web in black and imagine it as a creepy crawly table runner to add a little scare to your dining table.
