I just returned from a wonderful weekend in San Diego. We spent our days in the sun biking around the boardwalk and lounging on Pacific Beach. It was a wonderfully relaxing way to kick off the summer season. However, just because I am back from my mini vacation does not mean that summer is ending. July means that summer is in full swing and this month will be all about things to help you make the most of your summer from hanging out at the beach and celebrating the Fourth, to backyard BBQ’s, check back all month for the best that summer has to offer!
.) Genji Sports One- Step Instant Push Up Hexagon Beach Tent via Amazon – With all the time we spent on the beach this past weekend one of these would have been great to have. It makes the perfect way to get out of the sun without having to give up your spot on the beach. The front can even zip up for a little privacy if you need it. We love the one piece design and the fact that it just takes seconds to set up and break down at the end of the day. It comes with everything you need to carry it and stake it into the ground. It provides better shelter than just an umbrella and seems safer to me, but that is coming from someone who has had the wind send an umbrella flying back at her on the beach before. It is pretty painful to be hit with an umbrella that was not properly secured. Try a beach shelter instead.
.) Igloo Ice Cube MaxCold 70 Quart Roller Cooler via Target – We love this cooler for its compact size and ability to roll making it perfect to get things to and from the beach.
.) Bamboo Drink Stakes from Surf Life Designs via Etsy – We love the beachy vibe of these drink stakes. Easily stake them into the ground and keep your beverages out of the sand and easy to reach.
.) S’well Stone Collection Textured Water Bottle (Peridot) via Nordstrom – Water is essential at the beach. All that sun means you need to stay hydrated. We love the stylish look of this water bottle and its textured grip so it won’t slip out of wet hands.
.) Skip Hop Central Park Outdoor Blanket and Cooler Bag in Chevron via Bed Bath and Beyond – We love this 5’ x 5’ water-resistant blanket. It is perfect for the beach; we used ours this past weekend to keep the sand off our towels. It helps absorb any water after taking a swim and is an extra barrier to keep sand off all of your things. We love this blanket for its compact design and added cooler pouch to keep beach snacks cool when you don’t want to bring an entire cooler along.
.) Beach Sounds Portable Speaker via Uncommon Goods – For the music lovers out there that must take their tunes to the beach this is perfect for you. These retro styled speakers are water resistant and will conceal you smartphone or iPod from the sand, sun, and water. Plug in your device inside and strap it down so it won’t move around and you are ready to listen to music without worrying about ruining your electronics.
.) Luxembourg Pagoda Beach Towel via Jonathan Adler – You won’t be able to miss your spot with this brightly colored and wonderfully designed beach towel from Jonathan Adler (we love him!). The yellow and purple will pop off the sand so you will not be missed and it will make it easy to tell your friends where to meet you.
.) Gray Canvas Large Beach Bag Tote from The Atlantic Ocean via Etsy – You need something stylish to get everything to and from the beach and this tote is perfect. It is large enough to fit towels, sunscreen, flip flops, a cover up, you name it… all the beach essentials will fit easily inside. We love the nautical details with the rope handles, but that’s not all. The best part is the burlap bottom. It allows the sand to fall right out and stay on the beach, not back at home or in your car!
.) US Games Fun-Air Scoop Ball via Amazon – It’s the beach; you have to get up and play a little and make sure to get in the water. We love to play in the water with this scoop ball game. The ball floats and the scoops don’t hold water which makes it the perfect game to play while running around in the surf!
.) Beach Bocce Ball via Sea Turtle Sports – If getting in the water isn’t your thing then maybe a game of bocce ball in the sand is more your speed. We love this set in bright beach colors!
